Memories of Childhood
My childhood in Chiayi, the most happy thing is riding bicycles to catch the Market with my cousins, whenever the New Year , the temple in the town will be invited the Taiwanese Opera and Glove Puppet Shows or movies performance for the gods. In the market full of people, and everywhere covered with sound of firecrackers, there are many vendors selling the sugarcoated haws on a stick , cotton candy ,roasted corn, meatballs ... ... and so on.We live about a kilometer away from the town, so after dinner we have a group of more than 10 children will be riding a bicycle straight to the marketplace, on the road without lights jut only moonlight, both sides of the road, planting the large mango tree , mango tree trunks are painted white with white paint , it is to prevent traffic accidents ,we are the younger riding in the middle, the big cousins lead in front , and at behind to protect us.
When the lively voice heard in the distance, and see the light you will know not far from town , in the market, we will purchased snacks, and squatted down Front of the stage watching the Taiwanese Opera and Glove Puppet Shows, lived a carefree childhood.
I’m really miss that period of time, now grown up, and now only seen in a dream.
