This year's Lantern Festival is still winter vacation, so I decided to take the two children and mother to Lantern holidays in Chiayi, Lantern Festival is very lively in my hometown, that is because, in that place still save a lot of traditional practices.

Back to home, Children who play in drying rice field, we adults move out of the bench, sit down and chat, worship offerings already prepared, then just on the time is right, the palanquins of all the village will come out.In chiayi's lantern festival customs, at the day all the village’s palanquins must com out and inspections to bless the village, nearly a few dozen palanquins must be in the evening time to start a collection in a temple. Each a palanquin has four people carrying, when carrying palanquins, through each family, then they must be stopped, let this house’s people burn incense and worship, then this house’s people will lit a lot of firecrackers on the palanquin, so carry the palanquin, who must wear a lot of clothing to protect themselves.

Uncle's house is in the town, all palanquin to go through the uncle's house, therefore, each family will be on the streets to put a lot of firecrackers, also seems to be in the game, to see who could let the palanquin to stay in their own home in front of the longest. We really feel worthwhile trip, we returned to the sweet blanket, accompanied by the distant sound of firecrackers rising and falling, we have gone to asleep, but the palanquins con not rest, they have to come out from the temple, then following a trip to inspect and bless villagers route.

2011 has passed, recall that ,this past year, There is anything I regret? Think about it, really not. Because 2011 is the year of my life to be new beginning with, I had divorced in August 2010, it is the worst of my life, but also the lowest point of the year. Quickly, I selected a new direction in life, set up a studio, although very busy at that time, and unpredictable of future, however, I told myself that tomorrow the sun will still rise, and days always go on, just follow the plan, then step by step ,it’s will be success.

So in 2011 I seriously operating studio, to restore a single person,and I took my two children then live a new life, I also went to learn the music of the erhu, also apply for the Lunghwa University, and my studio is also growing on the right track, and income are enough to cope with life, so now I am content.

The advent of the new year 2012, in addition to the things that should be done every day, I really hope that my English can progress, I had been studying for a semester in Lunghwa University, my English has made definite progress, but still very inadequate. I will to take seriously over my new life.

during Childhood, every year the Chinese New Year ,we will be back in Chiayi , country retains many traditional practices, and adults was busy on the eve of the Child New Year, the traditional market is a lively scene, the adults are busy preparing a New Year's dinner.

I Never forget the sight, my grandmother was busy doing the daikon cakes, steamed sponge cake….. and so on items, and we will help change the Spring Festival couplets . At New Year's Eve whole family together to eating the hearty dinner, then when finished the dinner, grandparents will sitting in the hall, and we over 20 grandchildren, Happy New Year to our grandparents, then we will receive the red envelopes ,there have New Year’s money in side. In the dried grain field we will set off firecrackers, TV in the living room playing the New Year program .That evening, we are not able to sleep, we all have to stay up, when over at 12 midnight, around came the sound of firecrackers, the New Year has arrived.


When the children grow older, feel that the days were increasingly fast, at childhood the New Year is very interesting, but now the New Year is less atmosphere.
This year is the year of the Dragon New Year, my studio is not a holiday, I am simply to eat dinner with families, then New Year the first two days, I have the guests make an appointment, have income in the New Year, which is auspicious beginning, because it has been raining, Taipei's streets appears to deserted, the entire city seems to be asleep.However, the mood can relax, this year I have to work hard ,next Chinese year, I will have a special holiday with my children.
